ABOUT ME

My Story...

My passion for organising had always existed, but my passion for crafts developed much later. When I was a child I would make my little sister declutter our room on a regular basis even though she was not at all interested in such an activity... She wanted to play... like all other kids. For me, play sometimes meant moving furniture around in our playroom :). In my teenage years, once I started earning money I had files and folders where I neatly tracked all my expenditures. I always tried to influence my friends (and my poor little sister) to do the same and I would always offer to declutter their rooms. I always organised parties and excursions at school and at university.
In summary, I always had my ducks in a row :).
I hold a degree in Business Administration and work for a British luxury car manufacturer (currently on maternity leave). Organisation is someting my dad encouraged me to pursue.

My passion for crafting came much later though and this is someting I learnt from my mom and my sister. As I was never very good at art (and they both are absolutely brilliant), I never considered myself to be particularly creative. It took me nearly thirty years to realize that being creative was so much more than painting :). In 2007 my boyfriend (now my wonderful husband) and I moved to Sweden and I tried very hard to prove I was a good housewife (25 at the time) and my first creative project was decorating Easter eggs in 2008. Then I started organizing photos and creating albums, developing Christmas checklists and crafts, menu plans, etc. It helped fill the sometimes lonely moments of being an expat on a dark Scandinavian November day.
Slowly over the years I started embracing more and more celebrations and the first major project was the organization of our wedding in 2011.

Ever since moving to the UK in 2011, my passion for crafts and organization grew even more and I now make various paper crafts, felt crafts and have continued to embrace my love for organising and cooking... Did I mention I love to cook too?

In 2013 I gave birth to our gorgeous baby boy, who is my biggest motivation and he is the reason I am now putting all my work and ideas into writing and sharing it with you.

None of this would've come to life without the inspiration and support of my husband - my greatest love, my best friend, my mentor and my biggest supporter. He encourages me to pursue my dream of becoming the next Martha Stewart, by patiently listening to all my ideas and adding his own touch to help transform my passion into a successful business. He also spends a lot of time making beautiful photographs of my work. He is behind every step of this journey with me and always brings the best out of me.

This is one of my favorite projects, because my mom, my sister and I did it together during a family holiday! See more under Easter crafts!
